Congress should take a close look at cleaning up government inefficiencies and fraud in social security, medicare, medicaid, and other programs before discussing any cuts in these entitlement and grant programs. Can you imagine the magnitude of the social security and medicare fraud alone? It must be staggering to think about all the money being paid out by taxpayers to fraudulent or nonexistent recipients. Why don’t we see any solid statistics on this and why don’t we hear any vigorous discussion on this issue?
